The International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) and the Agricultural Communications Documentation Center (ACDC) at the University of Illinois have teamed up in a pioneering program of professional development. Through a partnership begun in 2006, the Center is providing a variety of resources and staff services for the IFAJ organization that serves about 5,000 agricultural journalists in 29 countries.
Services provided to date through the partnership have included:
Continuing series of newsletter and web site feature articles that highlight reporting skills, uses of new new information technologies, story ideas and current issues facing agricultural journalists in various countries.
Collaborative planning and presentation of professional workshops at IFAJ meetings.
Issues of ACDC News made available to IFAJ members.
Here is how you can learn more about the partnership:
1. Visit the ACDC web site. Proceed to the “IFAJ Members” page.
2. Visit the IFAJ web site to view the News section to see recent topics being addressed in feature articles.
